The Serenity Place provides Habilitation services designed to help each resident build meaningful skills, increase independence, and experience emotional stability in a peaceful home environment.
Our program focuses on teaching and reinforcing daily living skills, communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and healthy routines. Staff provide hands‑on guidance, modeling, and encouragement to help residents reach their highest level of independence.
Habilitation services at Serenity Place include:
- Daily Living Skills: hygiene, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, and personal organization
- Health & Wellness Support: medication reminders, healthy eating habits, physical activity routines, and monitoring of individual health needs
- Behavioral & Emotional Support: coping strategies, emotional regulation, stress reduction, and positive reinforcement
- Communication Skills: expressive and receptive communication, social boundaries, and self‑advocacy
- Community Integration: safe participation in community activities, social outings, and building confidence in public settings
- Skill‑Building Routines: budgeting, time management, household responsibilities, and personal goal setting
